Basil Gogos King of the Monsters

Basil Gogos was an artist that changed the course of the art and movie industry. For over 60 years Basil's images on magazines like famous monsters set the course of the  monster craze of the 60's. His brilliant colors and use of art took the black and white movies of the universal monsters and many other films and brought them to life in ways that the audiences had never seen them. He inspired generations of artists, directors, make up artists and special effects people in the movie industry and raised the bar of the art world. He turned monsters into classic gallery portraits in museum quality. This had never been done before and it changed the course of art and the classic monsters forever.

Basil Gogos not only did magazines, he did movie posters, rock and roll CD cover art for musicians like Rob Zombie. A classically trained artist that has done western art, classic art and art in ever medium.

Bill Diamond Productions is telling the story of this incredible artistic genius and his life's work. His journey as a young artist making his way to America. And how with a single stroke of his paint brush he changed the course of artwork for forever.
