A flash flood in Sierra Leone has ruined homes, schools, communities and taken hundreds of lives.
BarzGlobal has previously done a fundraiser to support and build fitness equipment for the people of Freetown. Providing the opportunity to stay fit and healthy for those marginalised by society. Some of these people have lost their friends, relatives, and even been killed in this disaster. Children without parents, and parents without children.
The aim is to raise whatever we can to support these people, however they need. Whether that be to buy food and clean water, or medical supplies to help contain possible outbreaks of illness and disease (if necessary), or to provide therapy and emotional support for the post traumatic stress from such a catastrophe.
Once the situation of the community is stabilised we can continue to further develop the fitness equipment, and expand the already existing project. Until then, our focus is to support these families as much as we can, for as long as it is necessary.
Prayers save lives, but so does clean water - Let's work together to change lives for the better!
