Help Bartees & The Strange Fruit

I have a number of projects I'm rolling out over the next six months and despite my normal approach of financially figuring it out on my own, I've decided to open this up for support from my friends and artistic community.
My solo project is called Bartees & The Strange Fruit. It's a group of really solid players that I've been piecing together since I got to New York. The group is comprised of queer folks, players of color, women and a couple serious progressive allies. It's been my dream to put a group together like this my entire life and over the last six months I've recorded our first record and plan to release it before the year ends.
So here's my ask. Bringing together this kind of project takes a lot and I would be very thankful if anyone feels inclined to pitch in to help me compensate my musicians who work with me, hire a solid PR leads, photographers and videographers, to repair equipment, to pay engineers who I've asked to track my next record starting in January and to help cover bus and train fare when I play out of state. It's the little things like that that add up and can set me back a lot.
There's a lot going on in this world and I understand if you would rather donate to those causes. The music I make isn't going to change the world, but hopefully, it'll help people feel more comfortable in their skin. That's what making music has done for me.
Anyone who knows me knows it's hard for me to ask for help - but friends have encouraged me to put this out here, for anyone who does want to support Bartees and the Strange Fruit.
