Hi there! It's Heather. I'm asking for help for my uncles. They've helped me, and maybe you, through some tough times. Now they need our help!
Over the years, Uncle Barry has lost his 4 sisters to cancer and incurable diseases. Cancer has taken a lot from my Uncles. And now it's back, front and center.
Uncle Barry was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma Cancer (a blood cancer) last year and it has been a stressful and expensive disease.
Uncle Barry's prognosis is good and treatments are going well. He went through chemo and is now recovering from a stem cell transplant. But it's been a long, all-consuming process.
Taking care of the house and Uncle Barry is a full time job for Uncle Brian. Even with insurance, the medical bills and Brian's income reduction are overwhelming.
Recovering financially seems impossible to them. And while they may not admit it, the stress of that is mounting. I've often wondered how hard it must be to heal when the financial stress of treatment is always lingering. Unfortunately, I've been able to observe this burden first hand. All donations will be used for medical bills, medically related expenses and lost income.
My uncles are some of the greatest men I know. They always give their time and art to the community. They've brought a lot of goodness, beauty, laughter and love to this world.
I hope you will help my Uncles even if you don't know them. But if they have touched your life, now is the time to touch theirs. I know they need our help and I'd (and they) would appreciate any way you can support Uncle Barry and Uncle Brian. Yay, Uncles!
