Barry's Fight

Barry Whitesides is well known in Statesville.  He is an avid bike rider and photographer with a quick wit! He is a loving and wonderful husband,  son, and friend.
After a terrible accident while out riding bikes with friends, he is now battling for his life. 
In a blink of an eye, a deer ran into his bike causing him to crash.  He has a fractured skull, fractured collar bone, fractured ribs,  collapsed lung at one time.  He had to go straight to  surgery the night of, for pressure on his brain with placement of drain.  He has been on the ventilator ever since.  They are doing trials to hopefully wean him from the ventilator.  He has battled pneumonia and a staph infection.  He remained in a coma for weeks he is slowly showing signs of strength and knowledge of his wife Holly.  Barry will have to go to a Rehab facility to gain more strength after his hospital stay.  His recovery is going to be very slow and long fight.
His friends in the biking community, especially the guys that were with him the night of the accident, want to show their support for Barry, Holly, and his family.  We want to rally around his family during this unbelievably difficult time and come together to help financially so they can focus on Barry's recovery. Give as much as you can anything will help.
