Barry Fragale's Spinal Injury Recovery

August 14 started like any other day, and my brother-in-law, Barry, decided to take his family to the beach.

Unfortunately, while in the ocean at Bethany, he was struck by an unexpected wave in the surf, injuring him and rendering him unable to move. Through the quick action of the lifeguards and medical team, he was rescued and quickly flown to Christiana for medical treatment. Barry was diagnosed with a broken neck, a spinal cord injury, and underwent emergency surgery to stabilize the break.

While we pray for his wellbeing, the reality is the outcome of his injury is not yet known. We know it will be a long road to recovery and life will look a little different when it's done.

These funds are earmarked to help the family pay the medical bills, mobility aids, and minor home alterations that may be necessary to navigate the next phase of his recovery.

Barry and his family have always been selfless when it comes to others and now find themselves in need of compassion.
