Our school has been an important part of the Barrow community for almost fifty years. The last year has been an extremely challenging time for us, and it is without doubt, that the current pandemic has impacted on our children's learning.
With this in mind, we are hoping to reignite the children's love of learning - especially reading, by creating a new school library!
Over the Summer term we are hoping to establish a new school library for the children of Barrow URC Primary School. In order for this to be successful, we need to raise the monies to fund the project. We are asking for your families help and support.
Does your child like to read?
Does your family enjoy spending time in the outdoors?
Then our family fund raising challenge is for you…
We are challenging the children and families of Barrow U.R.C. Primary to take part in the Pendle Hill Extreme Read. Parents and children will leisurely walk to the top of Pendle Hill, when at the summit your child should read from their favourite book.
This is a sponsored event.
What would your sponsorship money?
A donation of £5 would buy us a brilliant new book.
A donation of £50 would help us buy some super shelving.
A donation of £100 or more (would be epic) would go towards a very special reading area.
Every donation will make a BIG difference to us, regardless of size.
100% of the sponsor monies raised will go towards funding our new school library.
We know that our new library will make a difference to all our children and future generations.
