<div>Die <strong>Werkskapelle Ferndorf</strong> feiert im Jahr 2026 ein stolzes Jubiläum: <strong>95 Jahre </strong>voller Tradition, Leidenschaft und Gemeinschaft. Während wir dieses besondere Jahr mit unseren erfolgreichen Frühlingskonzerten eingeläutet haben, blicken wir bereits weit voraus. Unser Ziel ist es, unser Vereinsheim – die ehemalige Werkskantine der Firma Knauf – fit für die kommenden Generationen zu machen.

<div><strong>Warum wir Ihre Hilfe brauchen</strong>
</div>
<div>Seit 2010 führen wir unser Gebäude in Eigenregie als lebendige Kulturstätte und Festsaal. Es ist das Herzstück der Musik im unteren Drautal: Hier probt nicht nur unsere Kapelle, sondern in Kooperation mit der Musikschule Feistritz/Drau-Weißenstein findet hier die gesamte <strong>Jugend- und Nachwuchsarbeit</strong> statt. Allein das Jugendorchester zählt aktuell <strong>120</strong> <strong>begeisterte Kinder</strong>.

<div>Doch es gibt eine Hürde: Unser Haus ist noch nicht barrierefrei. Um älteren Menschen, Personen mit Beeinträchtigungen und auch den Eltern mit Kinderwagen den uneingeschränkten Zugang zu unserer Kultur zu ermöglichen, müssen wir handeln.

<div>Ständig helfen wir beeinträchtigten Personen mit Rollstühlen, älteren Personen und Kinderwägen mit unserer Muskelkraft über die Treppen, dass ist nicht leicht und teilweise auch sehr gefährlich!

<div><strong>Das Projekt: Was wir planen</strong>
</div>
<div>Die Planungen sind fertig, der Baubescheid liegt vor. Wir starten jetzt mit der Umsetzung folgender Maßnahmen:
</div>

<li>Einbau eines Aufzugs über alle vier Stockwerke.
</li>
<li>Neugestaltung der WC-Anlagen inklusive eines barrierefreien WCs im Erdgeschoss.
</li>
<li>Barrierefreier Außenbereich mit speziellen Behindertenparkplätzen.
</li>
<li>Zubau eines Foyers im 1. OG als Überdachung, Garderobe und zusätzlicher Proberaum.

<div>The <strong>Werkskapelle Ferndorf</strong> is celebrating a proud anniversary in 2026: <strong>95 years</strong> full of tradition, passion, and community. While we kicked off this special year with our successful spring concerts, we are already looking far ahead. Our goal is to make our clubhouse—the former company canteen of the Knauf company—fit for future generations.

<div><strong>Why we need your help</strong>
</div>
<div>Since 2010, we have been managing our building independently as a vibrant cultural venue and banquet hall. It is the heart of music in the lower Drau Valley: not only does our band rehearse here, but in cooperation with the Feistritz/Drau-Weißenstein Music School, all <strong>youth and talent developmen</strong>t takes place here as well. The youth orchestra alone currently consists of <strong>120 enthusiastic children</strong>.

<div>However, there is a hurdle: our building is not yet barrier-free. In order to provide older people, individuals with disabilities, and parents with strollers unrestricted access to our culture, we must take action.
</div>
<div>We are constantly using our own physical strength to help people in wheelchairs, the elderly, and those with strollers up the stairs. This is not easy and, in some cases, very dangerous!

<div><strong>The Project: What we are planning</strong>
</div>
<div>The plans are finished, and the building permit has been issued. We are now starting to implement the following measures:
</div>
<ul>
<li>Installation of an elevator serving all four floors.
</li>
<li>Redesign of the restroom facilities, including a barrier-free toilet on the ground floor.
</li>
<li>Barrier-free outdoor area with dedicated parking spaces for people with disabilities.
</li>
<li>Addition of a foyer on the 1st floor to serve as a canopy, cloakroom, and additional rehearsal space.

<div>The estimated net costs amount to approximately €861,300. We have already received commitments from the Municipality of Ferndorf as well as ongoing grant applications (LEADER/ORE).
