<div>Pfarrer Reinhard Bartha i.R., Aufsichtsratsvorsitzender des Ev. Altenheim Wahlscheid e.V., wünschte sich 2001 zu seinem 50. Geburtstag über einen öffentlichen Aufruf einen Fahrstuhlturm für die Bewohnerinnen und Bewohner unseres Altenheims, für die Mieterinnen und Mieter der Altenwohnungen sowie auch für Menschen, die privat im Umfeld oberhalb der Wahlscheider Straße wohnen.

<div>Das Projekt konnte durch viele Spenden alsbald realisiert werden und war und ist für alle Nutzerinnen und Nutzer stets kostenfrei. Denn auch der Erhalt und die Wartungen des Fahrstuhls wurden und werden über Spendenmittel des Vereins getragen. Nur so konnte der von vielen Bürgerinnen und Bürgern so geschätzte und genutzte Fahrstuhl realisiert und betrieben werden. Die Kosten für den Bau und auch die Kosten für Betrieb, Wartung, Reparaturen und Erhalt waren und sind aus der Sicht der Kostenträger des Altenheims in den Pflegesätzen nicht anerkennungsfähig.

<div>Nach über 20 Jahren ist nun eine Grundsanierung erforderlich. Dies stellt eine große finanzielle Herausforderung für den Verein dar. Vielleicht möchten auch Sie einen kleinen Betrag – und sei er noch so klein – erübrigen. Wir würden uns sehr, sehr darüber freuen!
