Barney's Recovery Fund

Donation protected
I got Barney about five years ago when a client brought his tiny lifeless body into our clinic. He was part of a litter that was born under a trailer and was attacked by a raccoon.  He was the only one still alive. I ended up volunteering to Foster him while we find a home, and that's how he became apart of the family.

We recently moved to Colorado and have been looking for jobs when I noticed Barney wouldn't lift his head. He seemed fine otherwise. We ended up taking him in to emergency (it was too late to take him to our vet here). There we found out that Barney had the beginnings of acute kidney failure. He has been staying at the vet for observation and fluids but the poor little guy is struggling hard now. We went to visit him and he can't walk or hold his head up. The poor guy won't even get grumpy with the vet ( he's normally terrible at the vet). They say his potassium levels are extremely low as well as his kidney function. Yesterday we had a scare as his heart rate dropped dangerously low. The vet says his heart can't take as much fluid as his kidneys need so they are slowing down the fluids to not over do it. The vet made sure I knew she was VERY concerned about his state.

This expericence has left us exhausted, broke and heartbroken. Since we don't have jobs yet we have pretty much reached our limit on funds. So I'm asking if anyone would be kind enough to donate to my poor baby boy. Even a small donation is a huge help. If you can't donate, it would be great if you could share the gofundme link so it can reach others. Thank you so much.
