Barn raiser kick-starter ~ David and Debra Quimby

Donation protected
On December 6, 2020, the roof collapsed on the congregate housing barn of 40 milk cows belonging to David and Debra Quimby of Troy Center Road, Troy, Maine. Firemen and neighbors rushed to the scene to help the Quimbys and were able to rescue most of the cows from the wreckage. Sadly, three cows perished. The congregate housing barn was a total loss and will need to be rebuilt. In the meantime, arrangements are being made to transport the surviving dairy cows to other local farms for milking and temporary shelter. Funds are needed immediately as a kick-starter to help rebuild the congregate housing barn, as well as to help cover other emergency costs, such as transportation of the animals and feed. Our Troy, Maine Neighbors group is spearheading this fundraiser for the Quimby family. We thank you very much for your contribution to this effort. We know the Quimbys would also appreciate hearing words of encouragement and support.
