Perseverance pays off, and Kevin has been investing in badminton since he was introduced to the game as a young teenager. As the son of a missionary pilot who served isolated peoples in the Philippines, Kevin understood what it was to work hard and live with others in mind. This mindset led him to love badminton and the opportunities it provided to underprivileged kids. He was challenged to go far in badminton himself, thus giving hope to others that dreams can come true. From a teenager who fueled his playing with the cheapest food possible to a young man who has trained with the best in the world, it’s been a crazy, inspiring journey.

With Paris 2024 qualifying starting May 1, 2023 Kevin is pursing Olympic qualification. He is currently training at Badminton Esberg and competing all over the world. His last round of tournaments before qualifying begins resulted in quarterfinals in Guatemala and round of 16 in Iceland. He will begin the Olympic qualification period competing in Europe this spring and in PanAm this summer. Qualifying ends April 28, 2024, and Kevin is ready to get started. Olympic badminton in Paris is set for July 27- August 5, 2024.
