<div>The declining mental health amongst men combined with the old believe that showing emotions and vulnerability is a weakness is causing suicide to be one of the leading causes of death.

<div>Together with you I want to prevent this from happening.

<div>My name is Anton Nootenboom, also known as the barefoot Dutchman.
</div>

</div>
<div>I have spent 10 years in the Dutch Army and went on 3 tours to the Middle East.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In 2019 I became the first and only person ever to reach base camp of Mount Everest barefoot.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In 2021 I set the Guinness World Record of longest barefoot hike.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>3019 km along the east coast of Australia to raise awareness and funds for men's mental health.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Now I will break my own record, by walking 5000 km from LA to NYC, in the United States.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Why?
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Because men do not feel safe to speak up whenever in need.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>To show that our body and mind are way stronger than we make ourselves believe and that it has got nothing to do with being a man or a woman, but everything to do with being human.
</div>

</div>
<div>But I can't do this by myself.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
