Barbuda Hurricane Irma Relief
On September 06, 2017 hurricane "Irma" which was stated to be a category 5 hurricane, has severely affected our sister island of Barbuda, leaving hundreds homeless and one fatality confirmed. According to the Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda Gaston Brown, Barbuda has lost approximately 95% of its infrastructure.
We have partnered up with a team headed by Senator Michael Freeland from Antigua. We will be going to Barbuda on a mission to help all of those in need. Right now the best way to help is by donating anything you can, even $1 can make a difference. These funds will aide in offsetting relief efforts such as:
1. Transporting persons (primarily women and children) from Barbuda to Antigua by use of private boats.
2. Transporting food and medical supplies.
3. Providing adequate accommodations while they wait in Antigua.
Boats will commence relief journeys as soon as the weather permits.
Please donate below and share this with all of those wanting to help. Thank you very much!
"My name is Luz-Maria Cardenas, a US citizen that is working directly with Senator Freeland team, I'm responsible for withdrawing the money from the US account , and handing it over to Senator Freeland's relief team. I am on the relief team and I coordinate very closely with the Senator. At the present our major efforts is making sure all persons are off the Island of Barbuda before Hurricane Jose hits landfall this Sunday." We have drop off stations set up for person interested in donating clothing, food and other needed supplies. For more information and updates follow us
