Hey, guys. It hurts like hell to have to do this, but I need your help.
As you may or may not know, we’re right in the midst of a biker witch hunt. The police – from the local cops right on up to the FBI – are busily engaging in the worst kinds of nonsense bullying tactics you can imagine. From laughably unnecessary surveillance to targeted harassment – if you’re on a bike or a member of a motorcycle club, it’s been a not-so-fun few months.
Even given the current climate, what’s happened to me is as shocking as it is scary. My lawyer has advised me not to discuss this in any detail, so without getting into specifics – I can tell you that I’ve officially become a target. What began as an ordinary day has turned into a waking nightmare.
On a recent random Tuesday, the friendly neighborhood SWAT team came to visit me – not at my home, but at my place of business – where I work as a barber. I was aggressively arrested in front of customers and co-workers. Now, I know what you’re thinking. And I swear to god, nobody got a bad haircut from me at any time. I take pride in my work.
The actual allegation would be hilarious were it not so serious. I’ve been charged with “projecting a missile into an occupied vehicle.” These charges are nonsense. I’m sure you’ve guessed it by now. This arrest and the resulting spurious charge isn’t really about me. it’s about my choice of transportation and it’s about my personal friendships and affiliations.
The charges are bullshit – but the threat to my freedom and my future is real, very real. I’ve retained a lawyer to fight these charges, but proving your innocence isn’t cheap. I need all the help I can get – anything you can spare will go a long way toward helping me and proving to these maniacs that riding a motorcycle doesn’t make you guilty of anything. I always gave what i could when i saw someone needing help for a motorcycle wreck, sick dogs, funerals, custody battles. Never thought it would be me .
