Barbara's Blessings

Donation protected
We all love Barbara.  She is the one who will be the first to say "What can I do to help?", "What do you need?".  Now she is the one who needs help and is so deserving of it.
Barbara has been battling a horrible illness that many of you have probably never heard of before called Gastro paresis.  It causes the stomach to become paralyzed and  and she is unable to digest or process any foods or liquids.  There are 4 stages of this extremely serious condition and Barbara is at stage 4.  Her stomach no longer works at all.  Her treatments have been unsuccessful.  She has endured many painful tests and procedures and through it all she has maintained an amazing amount of strength and dignity.  Barbara has had two feeding tubes inserted into her body and both have failed.  She had to go through having a picc line inserted in her arm so that she could receive nourishing liquid through her IV line 20 hours each day.  That is also failing.  There are no more treatments for her.
Barbara recently got married to the man she loves, Andrew.  Instead of them having a honeymoon and being able to enjoy their newlywed status they have spent their time running back and forth to doctors, ERs and hospitals trying to get Barbara help.  The medical bills are piling up and she does not want to leave behind a mountain of medical bills and final expenses to burden her family with.  So we her best friends are doing what we can to help her in any way we can.  We are reaching out to everyone we know and don't know to please help.   We know that resources are limited for many people and that donating money is not an option for them but we are also asking for prayers and messages of love and support to lift her up.
Barbara has a son who just had a child of his own, making Barbara a grandmother for the first time.  Barbara also has a wonderful daughter who she cherishes.  She is also a mother to her husband's two sons and if you were to ask Barbara how many children she has she will answer 4!  Her heart knows no bounds.  She is a wonderful woman, she is a part of us, more than a best friend.....a sister.  There are no words to describe the bond we  have with this very special lady and we want in some small way to make her journey less painful.
Thank you for whatever donation you can make whether it is monetary or a message or  a prayer.  We know it will touch Barbara's heart.
