Barbara Beat Breast Cancer

I am a single mom of two wonderful children.  One is in college and the other is a senior in high school.  Since 2016 my life has had its ups and downs.  In the first of the year I was divorced from my husband after a 25 year marriage.  Then in April I earned my Masters in Early Childhood Education.  Then in May I quit my job.  The following fall I went back to my roots as a pre-k teacher.  However, this was a reduction in salary.  Through it all, I struggled and persevered!  

On May 5th, I was diagnosed with invasive lobular carcinoma--breast cancer.  In early July I had a lumpectomy in hopes of removing the lump, however, the margins were not clear and on July 14th I had a bilateral mastectomy.  

In my heart I know that God's got this and I know He will see me through.  He has provided me a peace in which I can not explain as I have tackled this surgery.  So much so I sported a green wig in surgery to let everyone know... "I am going to beat this!"

Starting next month I will be starting chemotherapy, hormone treatment and eventually radiation to make sure I stay cancer free.   Since I work with little ones (four-year-olds) there is concern about me returning to work with my white blood cells being depleated.  Therefore,  I can't return to work until November and my salary will be cut substantially.  I am just a bit worried about paying utilities and other necessary bills.  

I hope everyone sees that I know God has this!  I am trusting Him and even if I do not reach my goal, He will not forsaken me!  As you look at my pictures and videos please know that God has given me power over my fear!
