Barbara (Roland Becker) was a longtime member of Threshold, a regular volunteer at DomCon, and was very active for many years in the kink and CD / Trans communities in Southern California.
She was almost always at the TEASE Parties at Threshold where she was very welcoming to newcomers.
Sadly, she passed away in early February alone in her apartment in Palm Springs. She had no family.
One of Barbara's closest friends, Dany Finokia, who lived next door to Barbara for many years in Hollywood, contacted me (Sandra Gibbons) with the news, so we're trying to raise money to pay for Barbara's cremation, which will likely be handled by Casillas Funeral Home in Coachella. Anything left over will be donated to an LGBT charity.
