Barbara Hatch Memorial Fund

Barbara Lee Hatch (Hefner), age 60, passed away Sunday, July 16, 2017. Barbara was well known for her smile and the genuine joy she had for life. She was a friend to many and had a knack for making all things pretty. Her favorite pass times included crafting of any sorts, especially at Christmas time and if it included glitter. Barbara also loved being outdoors whether it be making flower beds bloom or feeding the birds to hear their sweet song. Philo and Barabara were married Febuary 29, 1980 and celebrated 37 years of marriage this year. She was a devoted wife and adored Philo III. They had two boys, Philo IV and Christopher. Barbara approached motherhood like the rest of her life and her beautiful smile can be seen in their childhood photos; she loved being a mom. Her most recent joy came from becoming a grandmother to Philo V. If you ask him about his grandma he will tell you, “she was very special to me because she plays the very best”. She always got down on his level and would play for hours with him. Barbara is preceded in death by her father, Truman Hefner, and brother Jimmy Hefner. She is survived by her husband Philo Hatch III; two sons, Philo (Brandi) Hatch IV, and Christoper (Carrie Shuman) Hatch; grandson, Philo Hatch V; her mother Vera Hefner of Oklahoma City; sisters Trudy Hefner, Susan Carey and Nancy Conley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
