Barb's Home Emergency Funds

Most of you who know me, know that I’ve dedicated my life to rescuing, helping and caring for at-risk, unadoptable animals, primarily cats, for the last 20+ years, and are used to me fundraising through my non-profit, Kind to Nature, to support the rescued cats in our sanctuary and those with fosters. Now, unfortunately, I find it necessary (and difficult) to ask for help for myself personally.
Since losing my job in early 2019, I have been living on Social Security, a few months of unemployment benefits, and income from occasional free-lance paralegal jobs. Unfortunately, business decreased dramatically with the onset of the pandemic.
My savings and retirement accounts have been virtually depleted and credit accounts maxed out paying bills, making repairs on the house (which doubles as an animal shelter), and covering costs of several major medical emergencies for pets and rescues over the last year and a half. My credit rating is below average right now, making it impossible to get new credit, refinance the home or obtain any kind of normal loan.
Because of my limited income and lack of available resources, huge summer electric bills (and the heat is still going strong) to keep the house/shelter and cattery comfortable, unexpected household repairs (including the AC!) and payment of some medical expenses for cats, I urgently need some assistance to catch up on the electric bill (925 total), other utility bills, my car payment, car registration, and loan payment, most past due. And by the way, even with just my meager social security income, I do not qualify for SRP’s hardship assistance program. As much as I hate doing this, I feel I have no choice in order to get out of this hole. Then, barring any more unforeseen emergencies, and business and telecommute work opportunities start to pick up again, I can stay on top of things.
Thank you all for your help of any amount in these trying times.
