Barb Cancer Fund

On August 9th, 2018, our mother Barb Greene was admitted to United Hospital for sudden onset back spasms. After many tests including MRI, CT scans, echocardiogram, blood tests, and a bone biopsy the doctors found breast cancer that has spread to her liver, hips, and spine. At this time, the fractured disc in her back is believed to have been caused by the cancer in her bone. More tests are required to determine how advanced the cancer is.

Barb was released from the hospital on August 17th. She has a back brace to alleviate the pain from the fractured disc. Her team of doctors at United have recommended radiation and chemotherapy.

As many of you may know, Barb is a hair stylist and has been self-employed for many years. Last week, she made the difficult decision to step away indefinitely from her career. Her husband Leroy is currently taking FMLA for one month at a reduced pay to assist her with her medical needs.
