Barb Blecha Cancer Fund

Friends and Family,

As some of you know, our mother Barbara Jean Blecha has been diagnosed with Triple
Negative Breast Cancer. In October of 2017, during a routine mammogram, an abnormality was spotted which began a series of tests and biopsies that eventually led to her diagnosis in November...then she was faced with deciding how to fight back.
Mom began meeting with oncologists and radiologists trying to determine what course of treatment she would take. At the same time, she was exploring the option of Functional Medicine. As many of you know, these two types of medicine can take VERY different approaches toward the same goal. She decided to have a lumpectomy to remove the tumor but wasn’t comfortable with the weeks of chemotherapy and radiation suggested by her oncologists. This meant she needed to find another option to keep cancer from coming back. Through her research she discovered a facility in Mesa, Arizona called An Oasis for Healing https://www.anoasisofhealing.com  . After speaking with the doctors and staff about their approach to beating cancer and keeping it away, Mom made the decision to continue with her treatment at Oasis.
Mom has been in Mesa for about four weeks and is doing great!! Her treatment started with a complete overhaul of her diet. She has been eating 100 percent raw vegan!! She’s also been getting an education on how to prepare food for herself that will aid in boosting her body’s immune system so she can fight off disease and be as healthy as possible. She also receives immunity boosting supplements and botanicals through an IV that will help kill and keep cancer away. Two weeks ago she started a low dose chemotherapy that utilizes about 10 percent of the standard dose that is given to most cancer patients (you can read about it here https://thetruthaboutcancer.com/low-dose-chemotherapy-alternative/  ). She has been handling all of that very well and feels great so she will continue her treatment for another 3 weeks before she gets to go home!
Unfortunately, her insurance company doesn’t pay the total cost of her treatments and she is spending about $10,000 a week out of pocket. She has been fortunate to have the support of friends, family, coworkers, and her church and we are all VERY grateful. She has been able to raise nearly $50,000 already!! With only a few weeks of treatment left, we are making one more big push for fund raising and wanted to use this platform to make the donation process more convenient and try to raise a few more bucks to help her in her fight!!

Thanks for reading and thanks for your help!!
