Banshee the Barn Owl's Vet Bills

Want to make a difference?  Banshee, an pemanent resident and spokesbird for Wild Bird Rescue, has pneumonia and is currently at a veterinary avian specialist in the Dallas area.  We're still not sure what his final vet bill will be but we're raising money to help pay for his extended stay, treatment and medicine.

Any donation will you make will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to Banshee and Wild Bird Rescue.  It will allow us to continue to care for all the birds that are in our care.

Banshee is a 4-year-old male Barn Owl that came to Wild Bird Rescue in October 2016 after being thrown from a deer blind with his five siblings.  His siblings were released but Banshee had head trauma and is blind in his left eye and can't see well enough to survive in the wild.

Banshee has been an Avian Ambassador for Wild Bird Rescue and has visited many schools, scouting groups, organizations and events in and around Wichita Falls for the last four years.  He has been a fixture at almost every event Wild Bird Rescue has attended.

Wild Bird Rescue, Inc. is a non-profit organization that works diligently to provide the community with humane solutions to wild bird problems. Our volunteers rescue sick, injured and orphaned birds, rehabilitate them and then release the birds back into their natural habitat. We accept sick, injured and orphaned wild birds from the Humane Society, Animal Control, Texas Parks and Wildlife, veterinarians and the public.

Wild Bird Rescue, Inc. provides educational programs all over north Texas to schools, nursing homes, libraries, adult and children's groups and clubs reaching several thousand people annually.  We educate people about wild birds, wild bird issues and conservation.
