<div>Not to raise money for himself, but to raise funds for Bangor Rugby Club and their community outreach initiatives.

<div>In the early hours of August 2nd, Phil—accompanied by Bangor Rugby Club—will attempt to reach the summit of ‘Yr Wyddfa’. And to make things even tougher, we’ll also be carrying two tackle bags to the top, as a backup in case Phil needs a helping hand. Before his accident at 19, Phil had always dreamed of reaching the summit… and this year, he’s going to do it.

<div>The tackle bags will start at Bangor Rugby Club and be carried all the way to the summit. On the way, we’ll meet Phil in Llanberis and continue the journey together as a team. With the challenge taking over 12 hours and covering more than 20 miles, this will be no easy feat!

<div>While the WRU is still working out the future of Welsh rugby, your local club is doing everything it can to keep offering opportunities for children and young people in Bangor to access the game. With funding cuts, we’re raising money to support an outreach programme that will allow us to run summer camps at the club – not just for rugby, but for a wide range of activities to get kids outside and active. The outreach will also include primary and secondary schools, running rugby workshops and encouraging young people to come along to the club to continue its growth and success.

<div>We are looking for donations and sponsors to help us raise money for one of the oldest rugby clubs in Wales and its vital work in the community. If you’ve never been to the club before, come on down – we’ve got a great bar serving great coffee and even better food.

<div>Yn oriau mân y bore ar Awst 2il bydd Phil, yng nghwmni Clwb Rygbi Bangor, yn ceisio cyrraedd copa'r Wyddfa. Ac i wneud pethau'n fwy anodd, byddwn hefyd yn cario dwy fag taclo ir copa, gan fod ar wrth gefn i helpu Phil os bydd angen llaw arno. Cyn ei ddamwain yn 19 oed, roedd Phil wastad wedi dymuno cyrraedd y copa ........... ac eleni mae'n mynd i wneud hynny.

<div>Bydd y bagiau taclo'n dechrau yng Nghlwb Rygbi Bangor ac yn cael eu cario o'r fan honno i fyny'r Wyddfa. Ar y ffordd, byddwn yn cwrdd â Phil yn Llanberis a bydd y daith yn parhau fel criw. Gyda'r her yn cymryd dros 12 awr ac yn cynnwys pellter o dros 20 milltir, bydd hwn yn daith galed!

Gyda chyllid wedi'i dorri, rydym yn codi arian i ariannu rhaglen ymgysylltu fydd yn caniatáu cynnal gwersylloedd haf yn y clwb - nid yn unig ar gyfer rygbi ond ar gyfer ystod eang o weithgareddau i gael plant allan ac yn actif. Bydd yr ymgysylltu hefyd yn cynnwys ysgolion cynradd ac uwchradd lleol, gan redeg gweithdai rygbi ac annog plant i ddod ir clwb i barhau â'i dwf a'i lwyddiant.
