Band Together For Leanne

Leanne is my sister-in-law. She has been that to me for 7 years but we have known each and been friends for 20 years. She was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. She is only 38 years old. She will need to undergo surgery, chemo and an additional targeted therapy for the HER2 gene. Leanne lost her mother almost 4 years ago to lung cancer and as a care giver for her mother, she used a lot of time off from work. Now Leanne needs time off of work to undergo her battle with cancer and hs exhausted her leave time. Leanne has had many  doctors appointments with surgeons and oncologists. As well as biopsies and testing to give her a diagnosis, treatment plan and prognosis. She has used the time she did have. Leanne will be without a paycheck during her surgery and recovery and her journey through chemo. She is protected through FMLA to keep her position, but that does not give her a paycheck. Her immune system will be compromised and she has been advised by her doctor that she may not be able to report to her office due to the exposure to germs, especially during this flu season. I am asking for anyone who is able to, to please help Leanne meet her monthly bills. She has just succeeded in making a dream of hers come true; owning her own home. She has only been a homeowner for 1 year and it would be devastating if she lost her dream. Leanne is a strong single woman. Her prognosis is good, her motivation to overcome this is great. Please give Leanne a little support so she can maintain her health and her home.
