Band is Family: Let's help the Morgan Family!

There's an expression that we hear frequently when talking about the impact band has on our lives, and that is, "Band is family."  Through the friendships our children make, to their lasting love of music, and even to the friendships we as parents make over the years, the impact Lockport Bands has on our families is substantial.  On behalf of the program and previous band parent board presidents, we would like to share some news in the hope that our community can assist one of our families.

On December 26th, the Morgan family (Junior Emma, Alum Abby, BPO President Chris, and wife Heidi) along with their dogs and turtles were awakened to a house fire.  While everyone escaped safely, the home was significantly damaged and it will be several months before the family is able to return. Emma's school items are being replaced through LTHS, but her upcoming return to e-learning will be a struggle while displaced from her home and having had much of her room and belongings destroyed.

If you are new to the program, you may not realize the contributions Chris Morgan has made to our program during the past decade. He is always willing to lend a hand and works tirelessly to support our kids during the entire school year.  He has served as concessions VP and was recently elected president of our parent organization.

To support the family, we have created a GoFundMe page for the family to provide them with extra assistance over the coming months.  Your participation is not mandatory but would definitely be appreciated.
