My name is Kikki, and I’m reaching out for support for my beloved dog, Bamboo. Bamboo is a one-year-old Maltipoo and a cherished part of our family here in Canada. While he may be a little whiny at times—just like any other dog—he is incredibly cute, loving, and always wants to be by our side. His playful spirit lights up our home, but recently, he has been struggling.

Last week, Bamboo was officially diagnosed with Grade 2 patella luxation in his right leg. Seeing him limp, trip, or squeal in pain while trying to run around breaks my heart. Our vet has recommended surgery to help him regain his mobility and live without discomfort.

Unfortunately, our pet insurance does not cover anything related to his knee, as it was considered a preexisting condition before he came to us from Korea as a puppy. We are trying our best to cover the costs which are above $3.5k, but it has been a financial struggle.
