Bamboo sheets for NICU

Since Stella was born at 23 weeks gestation (17 weeks early) we have moved our life to Townsville from Cairns as she is being cared for the by the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Townsville Hospital. The staff here are amazing and we could not be any more grateful.
Every baby that is born prematurely is given the best medical care and attention. One thing we have noticed though, is that every nurse that has cared for Stella prefers the soft bamboo sheets to use in her little humidicrib cot. Stella's cot uses about 5 sheets each time it is changed, of these 5 at least 3 are in contact with her skin. Her cot can sometimes be changed at least twice a day due to her being so teeny tiny and having a nappy way too big for her and also due to the need to keep everything clean and germ free as they have little to no immune systems and any tiny bug can be fatal.
Some of the NICU nurses have explained to us that their has been skin studies that show that these bamboo natural sheets are much better than others due to the breathable, soft material for babies skin. As well as just being a lot more comfortable for the babies due to being so soft on their sensitive skin (premature bubs only have very thin layers of skin)
So we want to raise money and buy the NICU unit as many sheets as we can, as Stella doesn't always get bamboo sheets, the unit mostly has mismatched left over sheets, some are thick and not nice at all :( at the moment there are 19 babies in the unit and they only have a handful of the favourite soft bamboo sheets.
Since we have a lot of family and friends asking if there is anyway they can help - this is definitely one of them! Please donate a little and we will restock the bamboo sheets for the premi babies who definitely deserve to be as comfortable as possible while they go through a very tough time. I'd love to make these precious babies start to life a little more comfortable!
