<div>I’m setting up this GoFundMe to seek support for my gender-affirming care, which is currently extremely inaccessible in the UK. Up until now, I’ve kept much of my journey private, but I’ve reached a point where the support of my community would be greatly appreciated.

<div>It’s daunting to share this so publicly, but after working hard on myself, I feel ready and recognise that I’m at a point where I urgently need support.

<div>As a freelance artist, my financial situation is precarious, and the cost of gender-affirming healthcare can exceed tens of thousands of pounds. Since beginning my medical transition in 2022, I’ve paid for consultations both at home and abroad, and I’ve self-funded as much of my healthcare as possible.

<div>However, the total amount needed for the procedures I require is £30,000.
</div>

<div>The funds raised will go toward essential gender-affirming healthcare, including facial feminisation surgery, gender recognition certificates, updated passport and documents and laser hair removal.

<div>We all know the challenges of fighting against multiple oppressive structures and systems, and it’s easy to feel isolated or that we must struggle in silence. This GoFundMe is my way of pushing back against that and asking for help.
</div>

<div>The support I receive will help me navigate the violence I face every day as a black trans womxn.
</div>

<div>I’d also like to acknowledge my privilege living in the UK and ability to take steps towards self determination. 
</div>

<div>Especially during a time in which our governments and those abroad are complicit in waging war, upholding colonisation and enacting genocide.

<div>I stand in solidarity with the people of Palestine, Congo and Sudan. To all those who are being stripped of their human rights.
