Balsizer Family Benefit

On August 3rd, 2018, a horrific car accident on I-280 claimed the lives of Lisa, 54, & Callie, 21, Balsizer. Carl “Cal” Balsizer, 65, was taken to St. Vincent’s in Toledo with severe burns & broken bones. Cal had second degree burns on his thighs & third degree burns from the waist up, including his face along with a broken arm & multiple broken ribs. He was placed into an induced coma to keep him from suffering from the pain & suffered many strokes while battling his injuries. He was in the ICU for over two weeks before succumbing to his injuries & passing away on August 19th, 2018 with his daughter, Jessica, 18, by his side. 

Jessica had just moved down to Alabama upon graduating from high school this year & was not involved in the accident. However, she is left with a handful of close family members & the pain of losing her entire immediate family. 

We started this GoFundMe to help Jessica pay for the three funerals she has had to plan, medical bills & anything else she needs as both of her parents are now gone. Jessica has also been traveling back & forth between Ohio & Alabama throughout this entire ordeal & anything raised with also help with expenses for that. 

We have already received an outpouring of donations for the benefit we are planning on September 22nd, 2018 (search Balsizer Family Benefit on Facebook for details) but created this page for people afar who are unable to attend the benefit & want to help.
