Ballycroy Social Services is a sub-group of Ballycroy Community Council CLG. Formed nearly 40 years ago, Ballycroy Social Services is an integral part of the community of Ballycroy. Meals on Wheels are provided three days each week with the Midday Club meeting every Friday afternoon to enjoy their meal and socialise together in the community centre. The extremely valued After Funeral Refreshments are also prepared and served voluntarily by the Ballycroy Social Services group.
Meals on Wheels provides convenient, nutritionally balanced, cost-effective meals to many members of the community, especially those who live alone. This service allows individuals to live independently in their homes for longer periods, delaying the need for assisted living or nursing care. It is also a form of social interaction and an additional safety check for those living alone. The program accommodates dietary restrictions and preferences for those with special dietary needs.
Recently the Meals on Wheels van has broken down and is beyond repair, a new van is now needed. The group have received 80% funding for a new van however we need to raise 20%, as funds are always limited in any voluntary run community group we are therefore appealing for your help.
Please support Ballycroy Social Services Meals on Wheels in any way you can. Every donation and share of our page will make a difference.
Thank you for your continued support,
