I got home and found Balloo in shock. He has internal bleeding and is having his spleen removed.
It was a difficult decision to authorize the operation. I can’t really afford it but I had to make a decision quickly. If there was any hope of saving him.
I adopted Balloo from a rescue. He was kept in a small cage for the first year of his life. He slowly grew to trust and love his new home. He first fell in love with the couch. He couldn’t believe he had such luck. He wasn’t going to leave that cozy spot except to eat or walk.
I had to feed him by hand because he gobbled his food so fast he would just throw it up.
Slowly he started to trust. Every day he looked at me with a little more curiosity and love. I fall in love with him more every day. One day he gently kissed my hand and my heart just melted.
If there was any chance he could live a happy healthy life I had to take it.
