<div>You can make a difference in the life of an eagle by donating today to Illinois Raptor Center to assure the best recovery for orphaned, injured and sick Bald Eagles. They have recovered from the endangered species list but they still need our help to keep them off that list! The IRC has the largest flight facility in North America (a 409' flight 19' high) because we admit more and more Bald Eagles every year. We need to do our very best for them. They are a huge bird and do not fit in our present incubators for warmth and oxygen. Thank you for your consideration if you love and care for the Bald Eagle.

<div>     Lead poisoning is the biggest threat to Bald Eagles at the present time. We test for lead on all birds that are admitted into our wildlife hospital. Lead poisoning deprives the bird from getting oxygen by binding to its red blood cells. We can treat for lead. While they recover they need a warm place and xtra oxygen to help keep them comfortable and alive while they recover.
