Staff wages fund for Blencowes!

While Australia tries to shake off coronavirus, the employees of small businesses, like our beloved Blencowes, are going to be hit hard by the closures of non-essential services in Victoria. Maybe they’ll be shut for a week or two. Maybe longer. Nobody knows.
What we do know is that the staff of this awesome café are facing a very real loss of income because of all this disruption. And while we can't rely on hopes or speculation that this will all be over in a couple of weeks, we can rely on each other.
As regular customers, we set up this fund as a way for customers to help get these dudes through this thing.
Once we hit our target, 100% of the funds will go to Josh and Blencowes to distribute among the staff to help them cover their essential costs. That means rent, groceries, bills and any other essential expenses (medical etc).
Now, the fun stuff.
INCENTIVES! If you donate:
$50 – You'll get a 'thank you' coffee and toastie on the house when the cafe reopens
$150 – Your face printed on a mug that they will actually use in the cafe
$250 – Your framed photo hanging on the Pandemic Wall of Fame
$500 – A menu item named after you
$1000+ – All of the above PLUS a super exclusive Blencowes Black card, which will unable you to unlock secret menu items, monthly freebies and 1 free coffees per day.
And all donations of $50+ get you a VIP pass to the Blencowes post-pandemic party bonanza (details TBC).
If you’re a regular, think about how much you might spend at the café in a week, two weeks, or a month. How many coffees or bagels might you devour? How much halloumi might you consume? How many cakes might you pop into your cake-hole? Do the maths, add it all up, then donate that amount if you can. Maybe even a little more depending on what you can spare, and less if you can't. Any amount would be amazing. If we want our local businesses to still be there on the other side of this thing, now is the time for generosity, community and all of that good stuff.
