Dear Friends of Balaboosta,
On March 15th, 2020, we made the difficult decision to temporarily close Balaboosta to dine in guests. On March 22, 2020, we made the even more difficult choice to close completely in response to the global health crisis surrounding the Novel Coronavirus. We are grateful for the support from our community we've received so far, as we attempted to remain open to serve you and maintain employment for some staff.
This decision has a devastating effect on all restaurant employees. There are relief efforts by governments, and as a restaurant we are providing sick pay and any resources we have to take care of our team. However, many of us will still experience great hardship in supporting our families.
Many of you have asked how you can help our employees directly. Through this fundraiser, we hope to provide additional relief as soon as possible for our team. 100% of the donations made here will go to the small team of 35 people. They are actors, musicians, writers, students, restaurant professionals, dads and moms, cooks, dishwashers, food runners, servers and bartenders but first they are our friends, our family, and they need our help to put food on the table and pay their bills in this incredibly difficult crisis.
