Baker Children Benefit

My name is Stacie Salazar. I have known Ashley since we were 14yrs old meeting for the first time in our freshman year at South Garland High School. Since that time, memories of sushi, Genghis Grill, and Indian food have flooded in my mind. I started this fundraiser for the Baker Kids and in Ashley's honor. We are trying to raise funds to cover Ashley’s Celebration of Life as well as raise money to help Ashley’s parents with the children. Here is a part of their story.

As most people know The Baker Family has had their fair share of heartache. Ethan and Autumn lost their father to pancreatic cancer 3 years ago and now their mother is losing her battle to an advanced form of multiple sclerosis. Ashley has been fighting this terrible disease since she was 19yrs old. In the past few months, the pain has become unbearable and she has spent weeks in the hospital for pain management. Unfortunately, nothing was helping. Ashley has been in hospice for 5 days where they are able to give her the medicine she needs to rest, relax and have peace. Ashley is still holding on strong and will open her eyes for a moment and saw a few words. I know that Lee is anxiously waiting to hold Ashley in his arms, both free from their suffering and will be there in spirit for their children. 

The children will be living with Ashley’s mom and dad. Ashley's mother, Kim, has worked non-stop these years to ensure Ashley was well taken care of, taking responsibility of Ethan and Autumn , all the while working a full-time job. She is truly the pure example of a Mother's Love and Sacrifice and has never batted an eye. Kim is such an amazing grandma and mother and could use our help to ensure Ethan and Autumn have a full life. Please share their story, please donate if you can.
