Baker Bond

As many of you know or have heard, Brittany and Brady welcomed Baker Jack Bond into the world Monday, September 18. This was very unexpected and extremely early. Baker was born at 27 weeks weighing only 2 pounds 6 ounces. It was a traumatic entrance into this world for Baker, but the doctors and nurses at Baylor Waxahachie did an outstanding job with Baker. Several hours later Baker was taken by CareFlite to Baylor All Saints Medical Center in Fort Worth where he is currently in the NICU - we have been told he will be here until his due date, which is December 15.

This will be a long journey to get Baker home, but he, along with our entire family, is up for the challenge. We have a little ways to go for us to be in the clear, but we have seen signs of improvement each day.

We are all grateful for the support shown to Brady, Brittany and the entire family and the offers to help have been encouraging.  Because so much of the Bonds' time will be spent traveling back and forth to the hospital, it is difficult to coordinate support in traditional ways, such as bringing them a meal. Funds contributed here can be utilized for everything from medical bills to groceries, a meal out following a hospital visit, or even a tank of gas and an occasional hotel room (since the hospital is about 35 miles from the Bonds' home). 

Most of all, in this trying time we ask that you keep Baker, Brady, Brittany, and Bowen in your thoughts and prayers.  We trust that God's timing is perfect and that He has a big plan for tiny Baker!
