Help Break George Out of Bird Jail!

In 2015 my husband lost his job and had to take a new one in NYC. I took over the apartment and expenses. It was very hard taking on the whole nut, but I managed to do it untill October of 2016, when I moved into a hotel and boarded George for what was supposed to be 2 months.
I finally found an apartment that would take George and I. It was even above a commercial space I could use to teach my classes. It seamed like a dream come true. I signed a lease for both May 1st., gave the landord $6000 for 1st and security. Then the Landlord changed his mind and refused to give me the money back. I lost both a place to live and my income all at once and now I'm stuck suing him in small claims court.
Boarding cost for George are near 700 a month between the bording ($20 a day) and the supplies, I have fallen behind. If I don't pay the full amount by August 1st they are going to sell him.
The person they say they're going to sell him to has another bird. Those of you who know George know how jealous he is and how dangerous it would be to house him with another bird. It would not be a safe home for either of them.
Parrots live to be over 80 and they bond with their person the way that people bond with their mates. They are monogymous and get extremely attached.
Some of you who are reading this know George. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have found a place to house him and I just want to take him home. I don't know what I'd do without him or how I would live with the guilt of letting him slip into the wrong hands.
I'm turning 50 on August 26th this year, and there would be no greater a present then getting my George back. For those of you who have considered me a mentor over the years -this would be the greatest way you could say thank you. I can't tell you how much it would mean.
