Bailey's School Trip

Out of the 1,500 kids at Bailey's high school, 40 students have been selected as eligible to go on an educational tour of the South pacific next summer. These 40 were chosen by the geography teacher at BVW because he believes they are mature and academically focused enough to reap the full benefits that an adventure like this has to offer. In addition to being a once in a lifetime experience, it will also make Bailey more competitive when it comes time to apply for college, as colleges and universities want to see students stretch themselves to experience different cultures and a broader world view. He will also be willing to write a letter of recommendation for her highlighting this experience, when the time comes.

Bailey has worked so hard to be the best student that she can be.  A trip of this magnitude obviously comes with a hefty price tag and we would hate for her to have to miss out on this incredible opportunity simply because it's out of our budget. Please consider contributing to a once in a lifetime opportunity for our amazing girl.

The trip will be in June of 2018. The group will fly from kc to Auckland, NZ.  They will spend the first 6 days in Auckland and Rotorua, NZ. From there they will fly to Sydney, Australia. They will spend 5 days in Australia before heading to Fiji. The last few days of the trip will be spent there. Some of the highlights of the trip include:
New Zealand-
Exploring some of the geothermal wonders of New Zealand, visiting a Maori Village, a skyline gondola ride,  a visit to the Agrodome, and of course, they will go see the location where the lord of the rings was shot.

Sydney-
Sydney Tower, Opera House, visit the Rocks district, Hyde Park Barracks Museum, Featherdale Wildlife Park, Bondi Beach for a surfing lesson.

Fiji-
Visit the local Nayawa community.
