Bailey’s Bucket List

Bailey Williams has had heart problems since birth. She received her first heart transplant in elementary school and received her second heart transplant fall of her senior year. Bailey worked so hard while she was in and out of the hospital throughout her high school years and was still able to graduate on time. She is a student everyone at THS is very proud of. This past fall she began to have problems with her new heart and spent over a month in ICU over Christmas. Then last week she received the devastating news that her heart is failing and there is nothing more they can do for her. The blood treatment they had her on created blood clots in both of her legs. A clot went to her right lung and caused the lower lobe to fail permanently. Now her heart is only working at 20%. Bailey's mother has brought her home now, because that is where Bailey wants to spend her last days. The doctors are unsure how much time she has left. Bailey's family has not gone public with this information yet, or shared on social media, until they can make sure all of their family members have received the news from them. Bailey has put together a small Bucket List of things she would like to do in the time she has left. One of those items is to see Celine Dion in concert. The trip will cost approximately $3,000.
