Bailey Erickson Medical expenses

These last 5 months have been tough on Kellie and her sweet pets.

In March, her dog Loudon fell ill and she brought him into the emergency vet where she learned he had developed an autoimmune disease called IMHA. His immune system was destroying his already low red blood cell count. On top of that he had a platelet disorder that would have made him almost impossible to treat. She had to make the horrible decision to put her pup down. "I had to put Loudon Rufus down today. My pal...he will be missed so much. my heart is very heavy and life will not be the same. Ever."

Then on July 10th, Ceeger, Kellie's first pet she brought home 12 years ago, was attacked. Kellie rushed her to the vet and Ceeger had to be put down as a result from the attack. From Kellie: "Ceeger is gone too. My heart is shattered."

All of these events had taken quite the toll on Kellie. Her pets are her children, her everything. It seems unfair and confusing. That should have been enough, BUT.....

Bailey is Kellie's best friend; they have been together since 2009. On Monday Bailey fell ill and Kellie brought her into the vet where they then transferred her to the emergency vet. Kellie's Facebook post that evening: "Man. It just doesn't end. My sweet girl was brought into the vet (then taken to the ER...where they know me by name now) with a fever of over 106, low white blood cells, spotting in her lung X-rays and a bump on her spleen. All in all...maybe some form of pneumonia. I brought her in at 2:30 today and am leaving her for the night at the vet. I left and came back to bring her blanket so she had something to cuddle with. Is this real life?! Hoping for good news in the morning so I can bring her home with me."

Bailey is now on oxygen and is slowly getting better!
