Bailey & Claire Orndorff on behalf of Dev & Monica

Bailey and Claire Orndorff were born on December 11, 2019 at 33 weeks. Bailey weighed 3 lbs 7 oz and Claire weighed 3 lbs. 11 oz.  Each girl was placed in the NICU in Winchester VA.  About 5 pm that evening, it was decided that Bailey would need flown to Morgantown,  WV as her esophagus was not attached to her stomach and the team was unsuccessful placing the feeding tube.  Devon immediately left and headed to Morgantown to await Bailey's arrival while Monica stayed in Winchester with Claire.  Just imagine being new parents and being separated from your spouse, each with a daughter to tend too.  Claire remained in Winchester NICU until she was transported to Morgantown on December 24th. She was discharged on January 3rd and is doing great. Bailey had her surgery on January 2nd to repair the esophagus. She is quite the trooper. There is a 50/50 chance that the surgery will be a success and no leaks found on January 9th allowing her to begin feeding. Bailey will need follow up visits in Morgantown and possibly more surgeries in the future. Monica and Devon meanwhile have not been able to be home since she was admitted to the hospital on December 5th. They are now staying in Morgantown until Bailey is discharged. These funds will help to cover the unexpected medical bills for both of the girls and hopefully relieve some of the financial strain that Monica and Devon may incur. Any and all help is very appreciated. God certainly has blessed these two loving parents with amazing little girls.
