BAILANDO PARA PUERTO RICO

Many students at McDonough Middle School have family in Puerto Rico who were severely impacted by Hurricane Maria. Students & staff mobilized quickly to raise money for the Red Cross to help with relief efforts. Now the 8th grade students and the PTO are collaborating to raise funds to support families displaced by the hurricane who move to Hartford. These funds will be used to purchase items such as school uniforms, winter clothing, and houseold items for newly arrived families. We feel honored that our school was selected to enroll these new students and we are excited to welcome them into the McDonough family. 

Students are seeking sponsors for a dance-a-thon where they will dance for three hours straight in order to raise money for supplies. The request is $50 per student to support this event, but any donation is greatly appreciated.
