Rally for Rick's Fight Against Cancer

One month ago my father was on top of the world and feeling great, until a routine doctor's visit changed all of that. After some suspicious blood work and a bevy of exams, medical imaging, and laparoscopic surgery my father was informed that he had stage IV pancreatic cancer. As many of you know, my dad is fighter, and is now in the fight for his life. He is putting all of his time and energy into this battle and has begun 6 months of intensive chemotherapy. Although Rick has an incredible support network of family and friends, he has no spouse and no other source of income to rely upon other than his own. Due to the severe side effects of the chemotherapy he will be unable to continue working and will incur lots of medical expenses over the next few months. Although he will receive some disability benefits, this paltry amount is not likely to cover most of his basic needs, including his mortgage and medical expenses. We have created this page to raise as much money as possible to ease the burden my father is facing and keep him in his home where he is most comfortable during what will undoubtedly be the hardest time in his life. Our father has always been there for us. He is the most generous and kind man we know and we want to be able to support him during this time of need.
