'Bags of Love' for Ukrainian Children...

My name is Lucy Bray; my daughters Anna, Emily and I, began a small project for the Ukrainian children at the beginning of March. We decided that we wanted to hand sew individual (tote) bags for the children, and fill them with a blanket, a small toy, a teddy, a bar of chocolate, some sweets, a colouring book, and some pens/pencils/crayons.We had so much help, from kind and generous family, friends and neighbours.

Our first trip (by plane) to Warsaw Poland was a success. My husband Richard, Son Alex and 2 great friends, James & Paul took 8 large suitcases, filled to bursting with 100 'Bags of Love'. We also gave the empty suitcases to some very grateful refugee Mums.

Our second trip consisted of my husband Richard, cousin Ben and good friend Brett, Driving a van filled donated supplies 18 suitcases and another 100 'Bags of Love', back to Warsaw and then on to Kraków and Legnica. While there in Poland, they were able to get involved in service projects and shop for much needed supplies thanks to generous money donations. The connections that we made in Warsaw on our first trip provided us with a list of items needed by the Refugee reception centres at that moment. It was great to know that we were able to help provide what was needed. 

Our third trip can be even bigger! There is so much more that we can do to help these innocent people get through this heartbreaking time. Please help us by donating anything that you can. Absolutely every penny helps. If we can all do a little, we can help A LOT!

The Ukrainian children that have been given one of our Bags, have struggled to believe that it was a gift for them to keep. They have been so excited to know that someone, in a different country, cares about them. ❤
