Hi everyone,
As some of you already know, this year I am working for Joseph's House, a nonprofit in Washington DC. Joseph's House is a boarding house that provides hospice care and social services for residents who are terminally ill.
A few weeks ago, we welcomed a new resident who had been diagnosed with brain cancer. He is an Ethiopian man whose wish right now is to return home and be with his family. Fortunately, we are well on the way to helping overcome the challenges of getting there except for one final obstacle. Because of his medical condition, he needs someone to accompany him to Addis Ababa. Because I lived there for two months, I have been chosen to accompany him.
In order to get there, I'm asking for help from all of you! I need to raise about $1500 to cover the flight and expenses of traveling with him. If you are able to give, whether it be $5 or $50, I would greatly appreciate it! It would also mean the world for this lovely and loving man as he seeks to make his trip home.
