Backpack For Kids Foundation

The Backpacks for Kids Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing children in need with backpacks and school supplies for their school year.  Founded in 2001 by Dover Sherborn High School (DSHS) students, and perpetuated by DSHS students through their high school years, Backpacks for Kids (BFK) donates to children in the MetroWest and Greater Boston areas and surrounding towns.  For the last 18 years, BFK has donated over 8,000 backpacks to children in need.  Each backpack has an average retail value of $100 totaling over an incredible $500,000 worth of school supplies donated.  With limited overhead expenses, BFK is able to guarantee that 100% of the donations go directly to the children in need.
