<div>This fundraiser matters because what Alfie is facing goes far beyond football. The injury he sustained, tearing his ACL, MCL and meniscus , isn’t just painful, it’s life-changing.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>He now needs major surgery and around 12 months of recovery ahead of him. That’s a long road back, and the surgery alone comes with costs no amount of grit and determination can cover.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>For many non-league footballers like Alfie, football is only part of their life. Unlike the stars you see on TV, players in the non-league game often balance careers, families and daily responsibilities alongside their love of the sport — because their football doesn’t pay a full professional wage. When an injury happens on the pitch, it doesn’t just rule them out of matches , it can affect their ability to work their day job too.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>A serious injury can mean weeks or months off work with reduced income and mounting costs, all while trying to recover physically and mentally.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Alfie has worn the armband over 400 times across various local clubs, showing up with heart, leadership and passion each week. Now, during his greatest challenge yet, his community can show up for him.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Any donation , no matter how small , eases the financial strain, supports his recovery, and shows Alfie and his family that they are not alone.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Please give what you can to help Alfie get back on his feet, in every sense.
