Backing Betsy
If you are fortunate to know Betsy, you are one lucky individual. If you have not had the opportunity to meet this lady, you are missing out. Betsy is first a strong woman, in addition to being a wife, mother, sister, aunt, friend, and unsolicited grandmother to Ava and Blake.
Betsy has spent the majority of her life caring for others. Whether it 's whipping up baked goods for a church fundraiser, being everyone's dance mom backstage, dropping meals off for neighbors, or all of her years dedicated as a pediatric RN; she has probably went above and beyond for you at some point in time.
It's now our turn to go above and beyond for her. We wish it were under different circumstances that we are asking you to show your love and support in our efforts to "back Betsy" during this time.
As of January 11, 2021 Betsy has been under critical care at Vidant in Greenville, NC. After suffering from a mild heart attack and poor kidney function, she tested positive for COVID-19 while in care. Good news: her heart and kidneys have been doing okay and are the least of our worries at this point. Bad news: the impact of COVID-19 has led to severe pneumonia.
On January 27, 2021 Betsy's health care team had to make the necessary call to have her placed on a ventilator to help with her breathing. For now she is stable and comfortable. We have appreciated all of the phone calls, texts, prayers, good vibes, and support along the way. We all know Betsy is a tough gal and is going to do what she can to carry on.
While many things are uncertain at this time, one thing we do know for certain is that health care costs are not cheap. And if you know our family it is pretty easy to keep up with these Jones' at least. We understand that the pandemic has impacted us all in one way or another, many being financially. If you are where you cannot donate monetary; thoughts, prayers, well wishes, and all forms of support are welcomed. Every little bit helps and is greatly appreciated. Any and all donations will go towards cost/coverage for care of our sweet Betsy.
