Back 2 School Backpack Drive

In the summer of 2016, a small group of committed, community-oriented individuals set out to help neighborhood families prepare for the upcoming school year by providing free backpacks and school supplies to local youth. The event took place on Labor Day, and the team proudly distributed 100 plates of food and 60 backpacks. In 2017, organizers more than doubled their distribution, providing over 200 plates of food and 165 new backpacks filled with grade appropriate school supplies, to help young people succeed in the upcoming school year.

Last year, the team set a goal to distribute 250 new backpacks and surpassed that goal by distributing 292 backpacks. With your help, we can reach our new goal - 350 backpacks filled with grade appropriate school supplies!
